The Polish Association for Canadian Studies (PACS) was established on the 17th of April 1998. The main objectives of PACS are as follows:

Those objectives are attained by organizing conferences, co-operating with other local and international organizations, publishing the PACS newsletter, and numerous other activities. PACS has over 90 members in Poland and abroad, mostly students and scholars devoted to Canadian studies. However, everyone interested in Canada can become member of the organization. We cooperate with the Canadian Embassy in Poland, as well as with the Central European Association for Canadian Studies (formerly the Central European Canadian Studies Network). Since 2002 PACS is also an Associate Member of the International Council for Canadian Studies (ICCS-CIEC).
